How can MS have a "rounded corners" license for an OS?
Authored by: Anonymous on Thursday, August 30 2012 @ 06:35 AM EDT
If MS has a license that says that they and OEMs making their devices are
covered, then they're in the clear. They have some sort of license, but is it
worded like that? Who can say for sure? MS loves burying things in about 23
levels of NDAs, but it seems reasonably possible.

Also MS and Apple are not allies - what makes you think they are? Both
companies are seriously abusive, although they're using different strategies
(parasite vs bully). Both are plenty motivated to attack android for their own
reasons, there's no need for a conspiracy theory to explain this (or do you
think that MS is only patent trolling as part of some industry wide conspiracy
and wouldn't do it otherwise?).

What both are doing is more likely just a war on competition rather than android
or foss specifically (although that's clearly the targets at the moment). You
seem to agree with that too from the turn on each other comment.
