Depending on the situation, the fair market value of the Blogger service may have to be considered compensation. I've had to deal with that when filling out tax forms, there's any number of areas where if you're given something the IRS requires you to calculate the fair market value and report the difference between that and what you actually paid for it as income. Figuring out exactly what you're required to do this for... is a full-time job for a large number of tax accountants and enrolled agents. For instance normally I wouldn't worry about GMail and Google Sites, but if I were writing off a significant amount of Internet hosting service expenses on my taxes I'd want to research the matter to make absolutely positively sure of the rules.
