But then you will just wind up with another SCO/MPAA/RIAA type battle where they just start suing the end users. Nobody wins, and the users just get more angry. Having your potential market hate you with complete disdain is not exactly a winning move. Only then there will be lot of collateral damage left bleeding out on the legal battlefield to serve as their "example" threat.

IP litigation these days is little more than legal extortion between companies, and if its the end user that pays the price for all that "IP", tell me, exactly how is this benefiting society?.
