Party A also covers itself with a smokescreen by asking the user whether it's
okay to install the rootkit (after the fact mind you!)
And then when the user says "No!" it gets installed and run anyway.
Oh yes - that is EXACTLY what it did! And in my case, because the original
install crashed, I didn't even SEE the request screen! I ended up doing a clean
re-install to fix the mess (which is why these disks (they're not CD's) don't go
anywhere near my Windows systems till I've ripped and copied them, and it's only
the cleaned-up copies I trust).
Crying shame, because my favourite artist (Evelyn Glenny) is on that label :-(
