Are you really certain about that?
Everything that goes into increasing the marked value could more profitable be
used somewhere else!
It is a lose-lose game.

I wasn't talking about stock markets. That's just a gambling den and a source
of venture funding, depending on which entrance you use.

If you are talking about monetary value in markets, there is a limited amount of
coin in the world, all that happens is that it changes hands. Which is the
definition of a zero-sum game.

If you are talking about anything else, then we need to start difining terms
better.
