Mum needed eye surgery - she had needed glasses since being a child.
In under 2 months she had been diagnosed and treated, now she has such good
vision that glasses are no longer needed :-)
Miraculous.
Not something for nothing though, everyone pays National Insurance, just for
this purpose.
I have found that care quality can vary dramatically not just between location
but department.
From my experiences with my family: Eye care == fantastic; Fracture == Very
Good, Hearing == Good; Stroke care (On call Doctor horrendously bad, Paramedic
Ambulance == Very Good, After Care == great); GP == good; Minor Surgery ==
great.
It also means that you have a lesser stress level at work as changing jobs has
little relation to health care provision.
YMMV.
