Swype vs physical keyboard
Authored by: JK Finn on Wednesday, August 15 2012 @ 10:29 AM EDT
True that.

Personally, I was holding out for a Nokia Maemo/Meego device
with a physical qwerty keyboard, but since no such device
will be emerging after the corporate suicide I finally ended
up buying a N9 instead. To my surprise, Swype does almost
make up for the lack of a hardware keyboard.

Since there is no way I'll voluntarily be using any kind of
Windows in any device directly facing a public network this
is likely to be my last Nokia phone, but I suppose two
decades of brand loyalty is a good enough run.

I love Swype

I am using it at this very moment. I feel I can Swype faster than I can
type, even on a regular keyboard.

Just had a thought - it would be cool to have some kind of Swype input
device for my desktop computer. I have made some simple Android
apps previously. I bet I could quickly make an app to send Swype input
from my phone to my desktop.
