How easy is it to corrupt judges in the US?
Authored by: Anonymous on Tuesday, August 14 2012 @ 05:25 PM EDT
Nice try. Won't work.

In places like Chicago, judges are in cahoots with certain attorneys.
"Betty" is a bad attorney and "works with" the judge,
"Suzy" is an average attorney, and "Frenchie" is the judge
working with Betty to, say, bilk somebody.

Near the conclusion of a trial, Betty goes to Frenchie and says "Suzy is
getting too close to our gold mine and she could hurt our profits. Tell you
what: I'll give you $100 grand. You keep 50, nice and quiet. Tell folks Suzy
tried to bribe you with the other 50G. You get to keep that 50G too, and Suzy
will go to jail on bribery charges."

Nothing in your approach would solve that corruption.

If you think judges and lawyers in IL, TN, FL, etc don't work together to decide
cases long before going to trial, you are either crazy or not paying attention.
