I have had £10 on for over a year on one line/operator (O2)and 7 months on the
other (T-mobile).
Most usage is using the hands free in the car to let home know I'm a friend of
the M6 again! Please put my dinner on hold, not in the dog!

The advantage we have here is that we don't pay for incoming and outgoing cell
phone calls, only incoming. Hence, why £10 credit can last so long.

An older brother had the same credit on for so long that they sent a SMS saying
if he didn't use it they would de-activate the account/number. As he is
paralysed from chest down and needs it in his car for emergency use, they let
him keep the number active.

We have pay-as-you go which costs us about £2 per month averaged over the year.
We can use them anywhere in the World and have used them in many places
including throughout Europe, The US, India and Peru. We travel a lot.

I have found a use for landlines finally.
My landline that i get with my bb, or the bb costs more for some reason, is the
number i give out to all these marketing things where you must provide a number,
no friends or family haveit, so it just sits in the corner, muted, with no
answerphone.
Nice and peaceful in my house, and no picking up daft marketing calls when
expecting something else lol.
