Samsung ARM in Exynos Sets Stage for Open Standards Battle w/ Google VP8 Decoder!
Authored by: Gringo_ on Friday, August 10 2012 @ 11:09 PM EDT

That was quite prosaic! I appreciated the link to the new ARM 15, and spent quite some time on that site bringing myself up to date on the latest developments. Only one thing I realized in the end, after even groking the graphics capabilities was that I have no idea what clock speed the dual CPUs run at.

That was surprising news about Google's free codec suite suddenly taking off, after languishing on the sidelines for so long. Good news.

But I didn't think it would take so long for WebM hardware to appear.
