just the overall look and appearance that would comprise "trade
dress". Frankly, that is the argument of some that say Samsung should just
put a tweek in the corner. Done. One good thing that may come from this trial is
the ridiculousness (is that a word?) of the Apple argument for future actions.
Isn't that the way our system works?

This has been my beef with this bogus patent...

Even a razor blade has rounded corners if one cares to look close
enough. The patent is WAY too broad and is therefore completely
bogus.

This is extortion on the part of Apple. I will never buy another Apple
product if they don't stop this charade immediately.

Curiosity compels me ...

I happen to have a Nokia N800 in my drawer that has rounded corners. I used to
have a Palm III that also had rounded corners. By looking through my desk
drawers and elsewhere, I could certainly find other examples. Apple did not
"invent" rounded corners, no matter how strongly they claim so in
court. It's a good thing they didn't follow through on that idea to develop a
car. Otherwise, they'd be claiming they invented the wheel.

Manufactured "rectangles" specify a radius (or actually, a
radius range like .05" +/- .002") because it's just not
physically possible to make an absolutely square rectangle.
