Dr Spin (Apple Employee) seems to even be working Groklaw against PJ!
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, August 08 2012 @ 10:11 PM EDT
That's one thing Apple is really good at. Having had the
Master of Spin Steve Jobs flaunting his immense skillzzz in
the art of InfoMercial Marketing!

His thoroughly trained and brainwashed sales agents are
invading Groklaw in an attempt to embarrass PJ. I can
already smell the stench of rotten Apples here!

The real link to the "Out of Box" Experience of Epic 4G
proportions that prove not only was PJ right, but we have
spies and Apple's Spin Doctors in our midst!
Excuse me, but although Jon is an outstanding reviewer, his
demo devices are not true out of box experience, that
consumers get. Not only that, but that was an already
updated OS obviously!

So here's a video of the actual "Out of Box" Experience for
the Sprint Epic 4G. That is completely uncontaminated by
human hands prior to doing first boot. Obviously you are
seeing this guy pull all the plastic film off the device to
prove that.

Without the OS update, the home screen indicator dots are at
the top and notice the Google Search box Widget isn't
installed yet. That's not done until after you activate it
or at least bring up the App Store and enter your gmail
account or possibly by clicking the soft button search icon
in the launcher.

If you click on Search, it will naturally bring up the
browser. But it will not install the Search Widget until you
have entered your email account for the App Store to work
and enable custom searches in the Search Widget:
