Judge Alsup once asked me directly in the courtroom
peanut gallery (for Apple v. Psystar) whether I was
"with the media". Taken aback from scribbling notes (for
incorporation into a Groklaw piece) I said no, just being
a curious member of the public. He was thinking aloud
with an intent to close the hearing for some technical reason.
Alsup then decided against that, but I would
have left the courtroom if the hearing became restricted.
BTW, I was in the Apple v. Samsung v. Apple courtroom
today, contemplating composing nothing but a Facebook posting.
I might have a "journalistic scoop" on Dr. Susan Kare's own
