I know it does.

The problem is that the Pi as imported as a fully assembled unit pays zero
duty.

If it came in as parts, they carry a duty equivalent to the cost of having it
assembled abroad.

Contrary to the other poster's assertion that we would need to wipe out UK'ers
savings etc etc, fixing this stupid duty setup would solve quite a few
problems...
