Why is Judge Koh denying Samsung's right to defend itself?

Samsung, a long time phone producer
Authored by: IMANAL_TOO on Friday, August 03 2012 @ 09:20 AM EDT
Samsung, a long time phone producer surely have several, parallel skunkwork
plans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skunk_Works).

That is how all major electronic goods companies have worked for the last
decades. Everyone needs a backup plan.

But for newcomer Apple? Well, it is hard to tell, but they decidely copied ideas
from previous phone makers, e.g. Neonode
(http://www.dailytech.com/Analysis+Neonode+Patented+SwipetoUnlock+3+Years+Before
+Apple/article24046.htm). Here is a brief summary of an analysis:

"Thus Apple and Neonode's patented claims are virtually identical, other
than the graphics drag, which is covered via ubiquitous drag-and-drop prior art.
The difference? Neonode filed three years before Apple."

Apple has always been a sad oxymoron: Apple, cheap but expensive
