Any - and every - mental process can be done on a computer

So yea... I - as a software developer who believes software should not be patent eligible subject matter - like the fact Congress has just grouped every possible mental process into the definition of a "software patent".

Remember that recent case where the patent was declared invalid by the Supreme's because all it did was basically apply a mental process to deciding whether or not to buy stocks? Bingo!

Sneak in a broader definition? Yup! But I don't think either the software patent Lawyers or the business process patent Lawyers will like it when the full impact dawns on them.

:)

Of course, that assumes my understanding of how it's likely to play out is wrong compared to how it actually plays out.
