It's not UEFI that's the problem, but secure boot. As I mentioned, my ThinkPad
uses UEFI and has no problem at all with Linux. You'd think that with
Microsoft's history of trade restraint, someone would step in to stop this
nonsense of computers that can only boot Windows.

The more important question is how are places like the church
ran schools like the one I help going to go forward. It
rely's on donated computers, that I then wipe and put Xubuntu
on. There is really no money to buy new computers as its basically a non profit
that exists to benefit the children of
