Quick, get a design patent on "rectangle with octagonal corners" so someone
else can't do that and sue you again! Then build your stuff with
that....
I think it'd be a cool design, 2 points each corner.

Would be for a rectangle, but make the corners radiused but
serrated.
You get better grip, tactile feedback that you have the
corner grasped, and it is "not rounded."
All women have curves, and are rounded in some way, but
no one will ever say that all women are alike. I've never
seen a square woman, but some gene-splicer may do it and
patent the look. (A friend of mine, looking over my
shoulder as I type this says "Yes, its true. They are the
Swedish Ones).
