She. The Judge is a she. Judge Lucy Koh.

A number of the judges (I can think of at least 2) from the
SCO saga are female.

Just use gender appropriate language - only referring to gender when
appropriate!

I was using gender appropriate language, long before the Political Correctness
stupidity started up! I did not like using 'he' when I either did not know, or
did not care, about the gender of the individual referred to,

Note the word that 'he', traditionally refers either to a male or to an
indeterminate gender. Some people like using the word 'she' to serve the same
function, justifying it by saying that the word 'she' also incorporates the
letters 'he' - you could just a rationally argue that 'he' should be used as it
has the greatest common subset of letters. It is also stupid because 'she'
traditionally only refers to females - and either way, is also sexiest in
implying one gender that may not be correct!

Remember that 'they', 'their', & 'them, can actually refer to one or more of
any gender. And in the case of law, may be better, because one or more judges
may be involved!

Not to mention that some people are born with physical characteristics of both
male and female, also some people have the physical characteristics of one
gender - but strongly align their personalty with the traits of the other,
including the way they dress!
