Can't Samsung just produce the f700 filing and say 'they did what they're accusing us of' and then get their own $24.00 (plus half a cent) from apple?
That's independent, and Samsung has to use fair and non-discriminatory licensing.

So in the course of justice, Samsung will get $1.50 for the mobile transmission patents and the preexisting design of the f700, while Apple will in turn receive $20 for marketing rounded corners aggressively first.

It is like when little Peter and little Paul are fighting, and Peter states "I want to have Paul's truck", and Paul says "Peter should not have my truck to play with more than half of the time". The parent then makes a compromise, and Peter only gets custody of Paul's truck 75% of the time, but in turn for ceding his 100% demand, gets to pick the time, choosing daytime.
