London says no to 3G hot spots for the Olympics

I believe it's called "any excuse for more control/power"

It's a very common thing, unfortunately.

London says no to 3G hot spots for the Olympics

It was on the news recently - you can't buy English Chips in the High Street in
England, you have to buy French Fries from an American Corporation.

Exagerating slightly (only just) for effect, but apparently in Weymouth where
they're doing the sailing, the chippies have been banned from selling portions
of chips! They can sell them as part of a bigger meal but not on their own.

WHY! I'd much rather have a portion of good old soggy greasy chips than that
rubbish known as french fries - and you get much more for your money, too!

Cheers,
Wol

Are they expecting something to happen concerning 3G
networks? Does it have anything to do with national security?
