My IANAL cynical guess
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, July 20 2012 @ 01:06 PM EDT
My guess is that the District Court in Utah is stalling. They all know that
this case is completely bogus, and they're all overworked, and why should they
waste their time on this garbage? And SCO's in Chapter 11 and running out of
money, with the Delaware bankruptcy court refusing to pull the plug, even though
it's clearly long past time to do so.

So my guess is that the Utah court is stalling the Delaware court, trying to
force the Delaware court to give up and convert SCO to Chapter 7 and wind up the
cases, rather than waste the Utah court's time.

Note well: I don't know if a federal court would even consider doing such a
thing. I have no real reason to suspect it, other than cynicism and the way the
case keeps not moving forward in Utah.
