Or just use CoreBoot image

And if it won't load Coreboot directly use a JTAG programmer and have full control of your machine once again.

UEFI preventing OS install? At least you can update the UEFI !

How long before we have malware-infected UEFI's thanks to
this?

You bring your "secure" pc to your trusted corner shop
because it needs to be cleaned from viruses -- or to remove
bloatware --- and the friendly corner shop flashes a new
version of the secure boot loader.

Now all keystrokes go to a safe place in [redacted] even
before reaching the OS!

Progress indeed. I see several businesses booming.

(some sarcasm included)

UEFI preventing OS install? At least you can update the UEFI !

So now a malware-infected router (or one that's had it's DNS settings altered to point to servers under control of a malicious party (see "DNSChanger")) can not just mess up Windows, it can actively cause malware to be loaded into my machine's BIOS ROM. Wonderful idea, that. What could possibly go wrong...
