Umm, isn't the whole point of this to *allow* flash mobs to destroy bad patents?
(ie. all of them)

I don't see why extending the time required to get a patent is a bad thing. How
about we require the copyright on the patent application to expire before the
patent is granted?

You have no idea how many people think the patent system is
and already irrevocably broken system; nothing more than a
cash trough for lawyers. Many of these will believe it's a
legitimate exercise to sabotage the system.

If the rules are changed, I foresee community cooperation to
raise the funds to pay for challenges. I would kick in for
the right patent and I think many others would join me.
