I see two replies so far, but they are both discussing asking a judge to recuse
himself, which is not what the original question from anonymous was about. The
question was regarding what the procedure would be for asking some other
authority (higher court or supervisory position of some kind) to remove that
judge. Is that possible? Webster, you mentioned there at the end:
"mandamus or some other extraordinary writ". Could you mention what

Excuse me for stating this, but hailing from the EU (Austria) proceedings like
this (VERY unusual findings for a very prosperous participant in the face of
successful appeals) would trigger an official inquiry on basis of corruption
law, even if the whole thing looks squeaky clean.
The US judicial system must have a self-correctional system in place looking
into that possibility, mustn't it?
Which are the checks and balances here?
I am sorry about the implications, but this is Hamletian to my nose.
