That's what Microsoft has always done in the U.S. and pretty much got
away with it. Break laws, put competitors out of business, make many
billions, fight gov't in court for a decade, and pay out some chump change
in settlements.

The difference is European regulators have a spine, and might just bleed
Microsoft more severely than the U.S. would ever have dared. And I for
one will be cheering loudly, because MS deserves it more than most.

If they get penalized 10% of corporate turnover that will hurt. The financial
penalties can grow to that figure. Then then there is the possibility of
products being banned in the EU marketplace on top. Seems to me that there is
the event horizon of a black hole in sight.
