Wont the results be biased?

I should have mentioned - we had exactly this sort of thing happen in the UK
recently. They did a survey on "should we teach Classics in schools
today".

I can't remember the exact details, but they selected, at random, some 3000
ex-pupils who had studied classics at school, and emailed them the
questionnaire. Typical response rate for that sort of thing is about 5%?

The results were stunning. I think the response rate was OVER HALF the people
replied to the questionnaire. And of those who replied, the OVERWHELMING
majority said studying it had made a major difference to their life.

So over and above the actual result of the survey, the number of responses can
speak for itself, too ...

Cheers,
Wol

If absolute numbers are better than percentages, why did you immediately convert
your numbers to 5% percentages?
