I agree that Novell clearly made a very bad decision (even without this they
overpaid dramatically for WP etc) and either should have or actually did know
how this was going to end.
However, that has nothing to do with whether MS was guilty of abuse of monopoly.
There's a *big* difference between the APIs getting pulled because of the
claimed reason (unworkable etc - have MS even tried to show this) and them
getting pulled explicitly to harm Novell (while MS keep using them of course for
their own programs, what "style").
Didn't the judge also say Novell were ok filing this when they did?[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
