Or to use a term of art, it's "trivial".

Any mathematical proof is trivial, or to put it differently, "follows
inevitably" from the chosen set of axioms. And seeing as an axiom is
"it's true because I say it is", the whole thing becomes an abstract
exercise in logic.

That's the trouble with all these patents involving computers - if people don't
understand that all a computer is is a logic engine, then of course they're
going to come up with loads of stupid results.
