Interesting. I guess (well I hope so) that they own the 'Def Leopard' tradmark
so that they can sell them as genuine recordings without fear of Universal
issuing Lawsuits against them.

All they need to do now is strike a deal with Apple and Amazon to stock their
new recordings. At least then they'd get a whole lot more $$$ etc than gonig via
Universal.

This could start a wave of similar moves by other artists. If I can get quality
uncompressed tracks from the artists website then I do that already but using a
store like iTunes and Amazon etc is a whole lot easier for the buyer.
