Universal will have to fight this tooth and nail. Both for their own as well as
for their fellow content distributors' sakes.
This communist conspiracy to rob poor media companies must be met no matter the
cost. If artist took their IP and left the reservation, what would these
companies be left with?

Prince anyone?

When Prince became "that cute symbol that everyone refers to
as 'The Artist Formerly Known as Prince'" it was due to his
own name being trademarked and owned by the studios. One of
the many ways the studios use to control the artists and
ensure the studios get the lion's share of the money.
