But most of the problems with drugs are from the legal ones. The biggest
problem with the illegal ones is that they're illegal, so people are afraid of
using reputable sources for help if they have a problem, so they don't get
help.
Then there's the culture that doesn't like admitting that sometimes we need
help. (I'm as guilty as the next when it comes to this)[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Actually, very few problems come from the drugs. They usually come from the
people trying to buy or sell those drugs.

Switzerland gives the lie to that assertion; the Swiss treat substance addiction
as a disease, and treat it accordingly. And the Swiss don't have the same
problems as certain other countries I could mention...
It's actually the act of keeping the addicts and the drugs apart that creates
the opportunity for criminals. If you could buy good drugs very cheaply from any
chemist, why would anyone pay to have them smuggled in and distributed
illegally?

IF drug use is like a cancer, do what we do to cancer, kill it - not remove it.
Drug pushers - kill em.
Drug runners - kill em.
Drug makers - kill em.
Drug users - let the drugs kill em - clean the genetic refuse from the
population[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
