IMHO, it would be far better to campaign to get the law changed than boycotting
an individual company.
As much as I'd love to boycott Microsoft (having been on the receiving end of a
'partnership' with them) I can't.
most companies are 'evil' in one way of another. Be it walled gardens, Windows
Geniune Advantage, slurping my personal data without my permission etc etc etc.
It is a sad fact of life in this day and age. Unless you can find that mythical
desert island and be totally self sufficient in food, clothing and medical care
you can't escape some form of IP madness.
Boycotting one company may make you feel a bit better yourself but campaigning
for the change in the law would make a whole lot more people better off. compare
yourself to someone like Erin Brockovitch. If you decide to carry on boycotting
one company then fine but don't complain to the rest of us about all the other
companies you carry on buying 'stuff' from that also protect their legally
obtained IP.

Ubuntu & 'apt-get' are not the answer to Life, The Universe & Everything which
is of course, "42" or is it 1.618?
