How hard is it *really* to hold a key while booting, navigate a menu, and toggle
the "I want to have control over what I install, rather than some random
corperations who are willing to shell out some money" (Otherwise know as
the Secure Boot, UTFI, or Restricted Boot) button?
Really? That's ruling out too large a group of the population for you? I could
do that when I was 5.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Why not do everything? We don't expect people
to drive a car without some information on how
to safely use it, and no one finds that impossible
to imagine working out.
Some people will want to learn about how to fix
the problem. Others won't care. Some will other
a fix for one; others for another. It's not
necessary to pick just one solution.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
