MS Wins whichever way the OEM go

Don't forget the MS patent tax that pretty well ALL android makers have agreed
to pay on every device they ship.

Every which way you go (Windows on Arm or Android) the only clear winner is MS.

As I have said before on this site, I really wish that at least one Android
device maker had the guts to go head to head against MS and challenge them in
the courts. B&N went a little way but gave in before judgement when MS
dangled enough $$$ in front of them. That as PJ has explained many times until
the gavel goes down and a judgement is delivered no precidents are set so
nothing has changed.

Vendors ditch Windows ARM devices over Surface

Lenovo makes the Thinkpad Tablet an ARM tablet using
Android. For a first attempt it was very nice ( plus it came
with digitizing stylus ) but plagued with some hardware
problems eg the power port and on button would come lose.

I was really looking forward to a Thinkpad Tablet 2, but
recently Lenovo made announcements that seem to indicate
they will be making Fire-type tablets ( called IdeaPads )
and Win8 tablets, suggesting they will be discontinuing the
Thinkpad Tablet line.

I wonder if they are now seriously reconsidering their
decision?
