Having ObamaCare - Maybe This Is Only Funny To A Lawyer

You assume that the indvidual who needs the surgery will be able to have it
unde ObamaCare.

Based on talks with doctors about my heathcare needs, I would not make that
assumption. Why? In my case ObamaCare insurance not only won't cover my
medical costs, but will ensure that the only way I can get that treatment is to

pay cash upfront. Around US$10K for a complete diagnosis. A diagnosis plan
that ObamaCare will not pay for.

I am unemployable due to my medical issues, but do not qualify for anything,
because I do not currently fit a medical diagnosis code.

They shoot horses don't they?

Several years ago my mother died. She did not have insurance. She did have SSI
and government sponsored healthcare. She came down with a brain tumor, probably
due largely to chain-smoking for decades.

They wanted to operate, or do different treatments to extend her life. She
declined all them, as would I. She saw no purpose in extending her life to live
only in pain and misery for a few extra days/weeks/months/years. She lived her
life, it was not a fairy tale life, but it was full none-the-less.

I would refuse all these crazy cancer treatments. I've seen the
"quality" of life that results from those treatments. No doubt there
are better treatments and worse treatments and better candidates for treatment
than others.

There is so much emphasis put on extending life, but little thought is given to
the quality of that extension. Insurance and medicine are another area filled
with greedy people exploiting others. Certainly not all person in the field are
like that, but the waters are certainly polluted with it.

Sad really.
