The WSJ brings us the news...
Microsoft Corp.
suffered a blow in
its long-running battle with European Union regulators
Wednesday, as Europe's second-highest court upheld a billion
dollar fine
imposed in 2008 for failing to comply with an
order to share product
information with competitors.

It's possible that Netflix will win this case in the end (probably
not in front of this judge). Until it does, however, we have a clean (if
erroneous) ruling that websites are places of public accommodation that are
subject to the ADA. I have to imagine plaintiffs will find that pretty
exciting.

This
is a second-level appeal in the case of a guy who, frustrated at Nottingham
airport posted on Twitter what was meant to be a joke that he was going to blow
it up.
Whilst everyone, including him, accepts it was a seriously stupid
thing to do, he was convicted of sending a menacing communication.
Many
people, such as Stephen Fry, have been incensed by the freedom of speech
implications of this.
