PJ, that is a real pearl of wisdom that could be simply reworded and re-coined as a new kind of "Law"; as in a law like Moore's Law.

The future health of a Corporation is measured as the inverse of the number of IP lawsuits they have filed in the last [X] years.

Just substitute your own number for [X] above. Then we just need to get the Media and Stock Market to repeat that Law as a mantra, and the IP problem almost all but goes away. Trolls are probably still and exception, but then at least no publicly traded Corporation will dare to open an IP lawsuit without thinking of the stock valuation consequences and their obligation to the stockholders first. That could be a real disincentive to filing any new IP lawsuits in general.

Can we honour you by calling it PJ's law? No? If not I understand, but as a real Geek I liked the phrase so much that I even changed my GL Signature. ;)
