HTC promised an ICS upgrade for my phone. That was one of the things I
considered before buying it.
Now HTC have renaged on their promise. And I have found out that there are to be
no more updates even '0' day explits. All this on a phone that is less than a
year old.
Guess who won't be buying an HTC device ever again.
This upgrade (or more likely the lack of upgrades) is tainting quite a few
Android brands. Add the WP8 debacle into the mix and to an awful lot of people,
the Apple/iOS system looks very attractive. Ok, some of the older models don't
get all the functionality but they can run the latest version of the operating
system. The same can't be said for the majority of Android models. Many makers
it seems just want to sell as many phones as possible and don't care a jot about
customer service. How many of the gazillions of Android registrations per day
are a once one event and the customer may never return to the Android fold due
to bad customer support?

Ubuntu & 'apt-get' are not the answer to Life, The Universe & Everything which
is of course, "42" or is it 1.618?
