Essentially Mr Norton told the judge they used data with a sample size of one to
determine the value of the patents even worse they had other data (not much) but
still cherry picked that which suited them.

Dr Cockburn knew full well that he was dealing with an educated judge yet cooked
the books in an obvious manner to maximize the the damages figure, not the
brightest thing to do. Greed, they could have used data further down the
distribution curve where there were more samples and better correlation between
the 3 data sets but that would have reduced the claimed value

Mr Norton just argued his way deeper into the hole Dr Cockburn dug.
