The FSA's advice is to keep a record of every which way you're out of pocket through this - or indeed any banking error.

When it comes to banking in the UK, my most fervent wish is that every call centre droid from a case management company who calls, text, or emails me about PPI mis-selling is given a small electric shock every time they (try to) contact me.

'coz I was never stupid enough to take out such insurance, no matter how hard it was sold, and always checked I hadn't been "slammed".
