EFF launches new Patent Reform Project

I like their approach -- mostly -- though I believe they should be less
incremental. Tim has a point about window politics (go to extremes to get
people to compromise) - but that is a game I won't play.

Get them to the table first

I am sure EFF will bring this up. But if you ask for it
up front, you will be labeled a *lunatic* by the lawyers
and those in favor of software patents. They they will
not come to the table.

You *need* these people at the table, and feel them out
for what is possible to agree, convince or strongarm them
into.

If they won't even come, then the meeting will be hollow.
Then EFF will probably change tactics.
