Look up Microsoft Table.
That was vaporware of course, and I saw something similar to that idea at

Actually MS does produce a tabletop ( meaning a computer that is actually a
table top, not something that sits on a tabletop ) computer that they call the

Have you seen the office desk in Tron? It's brilliant. A glass desktop with
keyboard & screen concelaed under the glass. It looks amazing and I wish I
had one.
