I would put the blame squarely on Ellison. He is acting
totally true to style in this entire case. He is a man
with a highly developed sense of entitlement. Most likely
this case will be appealed to the last, smallest detail.

You ain't seen nothing yet!

If the lawyers tell him this case is lost, and convince him,
he will tell them to dig up more patents and stuff up ...

BSF? Well, BSF and Ellison are a perfect fit for each other.
In their own way they are both true believers. And I
actually think that BSF enjoyed this case. Really. The
fact they largely lost would have piqued them a bit, but
they, like Ellison, are true believers too and the most
natural partners. Even more so than SCOg.
