If Dr. Kearl has been paid what we normally see as expert fees - $500/hour - that alone could end up more then the statutory damages Oracle is likely to receive:

150,000 / 500 = 300 hours = 37.5 normal 8 hour days = 7.5 normal 5 day work weeks.

Of course, Oracle will have paid half the total fees generated... but they might be up for the full amount.
