Solid lumps of magnesium are difficult to ignite, but this has intentionally been made to be very thing and light, which makes ignition far more likely.

The certification authorities (FAA, CAA, JAA, Transport Canada etc) ought to act immediately to ban these things from being taken on board aircraft. If they do, that alone will probably kill off the product, as no-one will want something that is to dangerous to travel with.
