There are several errors in the list

There's also some errors in this post :)
Metal filaments would vaporize rather fast ... I'm not sure which metal filaments you are talking about when you say they would evaporate quickly. Tungsten metal filaments have been used in incandescent bulbs for generations, and they last just fine.

...(even at room temperature, metals are actually a liquid - they flow, just very slow).
Solidified metals are not liquid - they have a true crystalline structure, they are not amorphous like a liquid, or glass.

Carbon is also cheaper than the use of platinum as used in other lights. Other lights of Edison's time used Pt, or modern lights? I don't know of any current incandescent lights that use platinum. Too expensive ;). It's tungsten nowadays. SB

Nicola Tesla was a true original...

.. he gave us, among many other things, the 3-phase alternating current system,
which revolutionized industry, commerce, and our personal lives. He didn't have
to 'stand on the shoulders of giants', he 'peeked past the giants who were
blocking the light' (to paraphrase Petr Beckmann)

Edison was the Bill Gates of his day. Tesla was the _________ of his. I'm still
trying to fill in that blank...
