Well, most of the things is not invented in the US, only abused there.

Most of Teslas inventions worked..

The Tesla coil for high voltage transformers. Used in all CRT monitors - through
improvements in frequency control.

The brushless electric motor - without which the AC power would have lost.

And he was NOT like Gates, in any sense. He didn't try to screw others with
lawsuits. If any, you can blame Westinghouse for that. Tesla couldn't afford the
lawyers.

He actually demonstrated radio transmission - but he didn't realize what he had
at the time as he was looking for wireless power transmission.

And he was the one that selected 60 cycle power as the best trade off between
transformer cost and line losses. Europe went with 50 cycle due to the lower
line losses, but had a higher transformer expense (more iron).
