Sad for the workers. It is not their fault at all. Look what happens to every company that gets into bed with the Vile Monopoly.

It seems to me that due to the major threat to employment, the Finnish government should be getting involved.

It was blindingly obvious to some, what a BAD idea it was for Nokia to hitch their wagon to the Windows black hole. Now Nokia is paying the price for this mistake.

I'm no Microsoft fan, but it may well be that this was the best of a raft of unpleasant choices.

Nokia was losing market share. Would they have done better continuing on with Meego (being another RIM with few apps)? Or being yet-another-Android phone manufacturer?

Can we really say that not going down the WinPhone line would have them in a better position today?
