Customers absolutely do care!
Authored by: PJ on Thursday, June 14 2012 @ 04:27 PM EDT
Customers would have cared about the OS on their
computers, had they ever had that choice, actually.
I mean Apple laptops are for Apple fans and they
won't use anything else. And Linux folks are so
interested they actually wipe Windows and install
it themselves. Talk about caring. And the ridiculous
numbers are based on what's sold, not what is in
the wild, for that reason.

People definitely care. With smartphones they
care and it shows because there Microsoft doesn't
yet have a monopoly, though it is trying
to extend its monopoly there with patents. So
people are showing that given a choice, they definitely
do care about the OS. In fact, with Facebook bought
that photo app, and it was made available to Android,
remember how Apple users reacted? It was like the
neighborhood was ruined. No. People care.
